《登陸 On the Roof》 援用擬態與演化心理學的概念,以衣著裝扮,進入鳥類的群居世界,透過單頻道空拍錄像紀錄我在該場域裡的身體行為。

把自己置放在一個看似合理、和諧的大自然畫面中,將此視為介入不同物種的襲擾與挑戰,綠意上遍佈的白點視覺重心游移在詭異與美感的臨界。另一個層面來看,空拍機作為一種現代化下的數位眼,在機械飛行特性上呼應鳥類的翅膀器官,以似鳥非鳥的姿態俯視,透過從遠至近移動的鏡位與交疊影像,營造出視錯覺的氛圍,一步步揭示出”我身在其中”的真實情境。

最後,即便站在離鳥群咫尺的位置,我們仍然無法互相理解,亦不可能排除彼此本質上的疏離。我想討論這樣的矛盾關係,甚而構築一種奇異的互動模式與觀看經驗。


“On the Roof ” invokes the concepts of mimicry and evolutionary psychology. I dress up to enter the world of birds and record my physical behavior in the field through a single-channel video.

Putting myself in a seemingly reasonable and harmonious nature scene, I see this as a challenge to intervene in different species, and the white dots all over the greenery shift my visual focus to the threshold of weirdness and beauty. On another level, the aerial camera, as a kind of modernized digital eye, echoes the wings of birds in its mechanical flight characteristics, looking down with a posture that looks like a bird but is not, creating an atmosphere of optical illusion through the lens position and overlapping images that move from far to near, revealing step by step the actual situation of "I am in it".

In the end, even though we are standing close to the flock of birds, we still cannot understand them. It is impossible for us to eliminate our intrinsic alienation from each other. I would like to create such a contradictory relationship and even construct a strange mode of interaction and viewing experience.
